Question: Can you have facial waxing while using Retin-A?
Answer: You can have facial waxing while using Retin-A, although you must
discontinue use five days prior to waxing treatment.
Question: I wanted to know more about the laser hair removal. Specifically, for the
lightsheer laser. What is the average range of power settings that you use for each different skin type? Also, who administers the laser treatments?
Answer: We do have the Light Sheer as well as our Vantage Coolglide which gives us the ability to treat all skin types including tanned skin. The range of settings depends on skin type, area treated, density of hair, thickness and color of hair. We always begin conservatively and will slowly adjust energy based upon the reaction of the skin and the hair. Giving you specific numbers would be difficult without knowing your specific area, skin type, etc.
Our RN's who have a tremendous amount of expertise and experience perform the treatments. We always do consultations prior to any treatments performed. Our consultations are always complimentary.
Question: What will IPL treatment for removing hair from the abdomen area cost? How many sessions are required, and what degree of truly permanent reduction is typically expected? Also, I am an East Indian man with olive-dark brown skin.
Is IPL even an option?
Answer: We do laser hair removal at SkinSpirit however we do not use our IPL for hair removal. We have 2 lasers, one is our LightSheer, the other Vantage Coolglide. We have the ability to treat all skin types regardless of color and sun exposure with these two systems. I would not recommend IPL hair removal treatments based on your skin color. It typically takes 4-7 treatments to achieve about a 70-90% reduction. Depending on the area, and men's abdomens are fairly predictable, the 70-90% is usually permanent. Results, of course, do vary. The cost per treatment for men's abdomens runs anywhere from $250-$350 per treatment.
We do require a consultation prior to treatments and the consultations are always complimentary.
