Our Treatments

Question: What treatments do you have for Rocasea?

Answer: Rocasea can be difficult and unpredictable condition to control; we have found that Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments, also known as Fotofacial, can be beneficial for many people. This process uses broad spectrum light that absorbs into the red and brown targets in your skin, heats them up and causes them to break apart. In three to six treatments (about two to three weeks apart) you will see a gradual improvement in the tone of your skin. We do offer complimentary consultations with our nurses who can discuss this and other options including a beneficial home care regimen.

Question: What types of treatments/products do you offer for uneven skin tone?

Answer: There are a number of topical medications that can lighten skin and correct uneven pigment. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), or Fotofacial, is more aggressive but also very effective for evening out skin pigment, redness and texture.

Question: What types of treatments do you offer for dilated capillaries (red veins) and hyperpigmentation (dark spots)?

Answer: Dilated capillaries and hyperpigmentation are common forms of sun damage and sometimes they are exacerbated by pregnancy, hormones and/or sun exposure. Lasers and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) are extremely effective and a nurse will help determine which treatment would be best for you.

Question: What is the cost of one Thermalift (Thermage) session? Is there a package that goes with it? Also, do follow-up procedures produce good results and what would be the cost? How effective is Thermage? How long does it last? How many treatment do you have to go through for optimal result?

Answer: Thermalift (or Thermage) is a technology that uses radiofrequency energy to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin to tighten moderately lax skin. It is most beneficial for those people who do not yet require a facelift and are seeking moderate tightening. Typically the results that you achieve with Thermage last about 1-2 years. One treatment is needed and that can be repeated annually. The cost depends on the number of pulses being delivered and that depends on the amount of surface area we are covering. Face or face and neck runs around $2500. Treating the eyelid and around the eye along with the face runs around $3500. We do require a consultation prior to any treatments and consults are always complimentary. We will be able to give you a more realistic idea of what to expect after a thorough examination of the area that you would like treated. We do a variety of nonsurgical treatments which vary depending on your areas of correction.

Question: What types of peels work do you recommend for oily/dry skin?

Answer: Typically oilier, acne prone skin responds well to Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHA) peels and products. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) are most effective for skin rejuvenation, exfoliation and rocasea. We do offer combinations depending on the condition of the skin.

Question: What treatments do you have for large pores?

Answer: Large pores are primarily a symptom of the amount of oil in your skin and genetics. Microdermabrasion can be effective in decreasing the appearance of pores when combined with a variety of different home and/or in spa treatments.

Question: I am interested in facial hair removal and have questions regarding lines around the mouth. I am familiar with Botx procedure, but I'm not sure that's what I want. I'm also interested in microdermabrasion. I guess I need the works huh! I would like alittle more information about you and then I'll take it from there.

Answer: We are a medical spa supervised by a board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Dean Vistnes. We have a team of nurses and nurse practitioners who specialize in nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. We have lasers that are specifically designed to allow us to treat all skin types. Laser hair removal typically requires 5-7 treatments to achieve 70-90% reduction. The lines around your mouth can be treated with either BOTOX®Cosmetic or dermal fillers or a combination depending on the extent of the lines. Microdermabrasion is a great tool for thinning the superficial dead skin cell layer to optimize the effectiveness of facial, peels and products. We do require consultations prior to any medical treatments performed so that we can customize a treatment regime specifically for you. Our consultations are always complimentary. Please don't hesitate to email me directly or call us if you have any other questions or would like to set up a consultation with one of our five experts.

Question: How effective is Thermage? How long does it last? How many treatment do you have to go through for optimal result? What the cost involved?

Question: I wanted to know if SkinSpirit treats varicose veins and how much it would cost to get rid of them.

Answer: We use a treatment called sclerotherapy, which is a process of injecting a medication into the vessel which causes the vessel walls to collapse and the vessel fades over a few weeks. Depending on the severity of your veins this may or may not be an appropriate treatment for you. If you have pain or swelling in your feet and legs we may recommend that you see a vascular surgeon to evaluate if surgery may be a more appropriate option for you. I am happy to take a look at your legs and give you an idea of what direction you should take. The cost for a treatment is $225 per treatment and may require multiple treatments depending on the veins. Our consultations are always complimentary and you would meet with one of our nurses or nurse practitioners.

Question: Looking at your treatments I am confused on what I may be looking for, here's my problem: My skin has visible large pores in the area between my nose and mid cheek on both sides... what type of treatment/resurfacing/facial would help smooth out my appearance? I am 32 and my skin is ok, on the dry side and acne prone on my chin.

Answer: Our nurses and nurse practitioners give complimentary cosmetic evaluations. It can be very confusing for the consumer to pick and choose from a variety of different procedures. Possibly Intense Pulsed Light could help with tightening your pores but not able to determine unless your skin is examined. There are also things like mild to moderate chemical peels that can help with pore size. Please feel free to give us a call to set up an appointment so we can come up with a skin care program that is best suited to your needs.
