Chemical Peels

Underneath your skin is a brighter, smoother and more refined complexion waiting to be revealed—and chemicals peels can help bring that out, instantly. Whether you want to reduce discoloration caused by sun damage, clear up breakouts or smooth away the look of wrinkles, chemical peels are proven to noticeably improve your skin in more ways than one.

What are Chemical Peels?

Chemical Peels dissolve the connection that holds dead cells together on the surface of the skin, revealing the smoother, healthier skin beneath. Our two types of chemical peels are  “resurfacing treatments” and “peeling treatments”.

How they work:

We offer an array of chemical peels: light and gentle peels, like Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid, and stronger peels that penetrate the skin deeper, like Vitalize and Jessner. (See below for more details.) The use of these peels depends on the condition of your skin, which will be determined at treatment time.

Anticipated Results:

Results vary depending on the treatment that best fits your skin type, but ultimately all chemical peels help skin look noticeably brighter, more even and smoother.

Resurfacing Treatment

Our Resurfacing Treatment mildly stimulates the production of new, healthy facial cells via surface chemical exfoliation.  Resurfacing affects the skin from the top down and will result in more immediate surface exfoliation Mild downtime is expected with these treatments and varies with each type of peel.

Lactic Acid Peel
Ideal for first-time peelers and sensitive skin types.

This AHA peel lightens and brightens while helping the skin retain moisture. Can be added to any facial treatment. Very little to no peeling is expected.

Glycolic Acid Peel
Ideal for aging skin and those with hyper pigmentation.

This AHA peel penetrates deeper than a lactic acid peel and is ideal for aging, acne scarred or thick built up skin. It addresses fine lines and pigment concerns and stimulates collagen production, leaving the skin feeling refreshed and renewed after a mild flaking process that can last one to three days. Can be added to most facial treatments. As a stand-alone treatment, a series of six treatments is recommended for best results.

Salicylic Acid Peel
Ideal for thick, oily, vascular and/or acne-prone skin.

This peel contains salicylic acid to break down oil, shrink oil glands and exfoliate inside and outside the follicle walls. May be added to most facial treatments. As a stand-alone treatment, a series of three treatments is recommended for best results. Mild flaking may be expected.

Peptide/Pro-Retinol Peel
Ideal for those looking for more aggressive anti-aging results.

This superficial anti-aging peel combines glycolic and lactic acids with anti-aging peptides and medical-grade vitamin A for more dramatic results. It is also great right before a big evening out. Can be added to most facial treatments. As a stand-alone treatment, a series of six treatments is recommended for best results. You may experience minimal to medium flaking a few days after application.

Pumpkin/Pro-Retinol Peel
Ideal for thick, oily, hyper-pigmented and/or acne-prone skin.

This peel combines glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, pumpkin pulp, and medical-grade vitamin A to help pores look smaller and skin feel unbelievably smooth. Can be added to most facial treatments. As a stand-alone treatment, a series of six treatments is recommended for best results. You may experience minimal to medium flaking.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peel treatments are more aggressive than resurfacing treatments, and are designed to deliver optimal results. Chemical peels work from the inside of the skin out and peeling will take days to appear. Downtime is expected with these treatments and varies with each one.

Vitalize Peel
Ideal for those with pigment abnormalities, acne and photo damage.

This treatment is the next step above a Pumpkin/Pro–Retinol Peel and a Salicylic Acid Peel — perfect for those wanting their first “chemical peel.” It addresses various skin conditions, such as hyper pigmentation, breakouts and sun damage. Cannot be combined with any other treatment. A series of three treatments is recommended for best results. Peeling will occur 2 days after application and last 2-4 days. Peeling results may vary with each treatment and for each person.

Modified Jessner Peel
Ideal for those with stubborn hyper pigmentation, moderate acne and oiliness.

More aggressive than a Vitalize Peel, this peel renews oily and ruddy skin while reducing the look of discoloration. Cannot be combined with any other treatment. A series of three treatments is recommended for best results. Moderate shedding of the skin is expected. Peeling will occur 2 days after application and last 3-6 days. Results vary with each treatment and for each person.

TCA/Pro–Retinol Peel
Ideal for skin with visible sun damage, wrinkles and collagen depletion.

This peel is a step above a Glycolic Acid Peel and a Peptide/Pro-Retinol Peel, and is formulated to reduce the visible signs of moderate aging. Can be combined with any other treatments depending on your clinical aesthetician’s recommendation. Mild to moderate shedding of the skin can be expected although peeling varies for each person and is not the indication of a successful peel. The improvement of skin may occur even without visible peeling. As a stand-alone treatment, a series of three treatments is recommended for best results.
