Side effects are generally limited to occasional skin irritation in the form of redness, mild swelling, and altered sensation and are short-term in nature, resolving in the first couple of days after the procedure.

When Will I See Results?

However, for most patients the results are gradual over a period of months as new collagen is formed and the skin tightens. How Long Does The Procedure Take?

The actual procedure can take around two hours to complete, depending on the size of the area being treated. However, additional preparation time prior to the procedure is necessary. What Does The ThermaLift Procedure Feel Like?

With each touch of the ThermaLift treatment tip, you will experience a brief intense heating sensation as the collagen in the deep layers of your skin is tightened. To protect your skin and make the treatment more comfortable, a cooling tip is used before, during, and after each application of the treatment tip. To enhance your comfort during the procedure, topical anesthetic cream may be applied to the areas to be treated about one hour prior to the procedure. Oral medication for relaxation and pain control may also be provided prior to the procedure.

How Long Before I Can Return To Normal Activities?

You can resume your regular activities the day after the procedure. You may experience some redness, like sunburn, which tends to resolve within a couple of days. You may apply make-up immediately after the procedure if you wish. Sunscreen is recommended for six weeks after ThermaLift and of course as part of any good skin care regimen.

Am I a good candidate for ThermaLift?

All skin complexions can be safely treated with ThermaLift, as it does not cause permanent change in skin pigmentation. The best candidates for ThermaLift are in good general health and have moderate facial aging. Patients with severe skin aging and excessive skin laxity are generally better treated surgically.
