When it comes to professional facial treatments, there is a difference between a day spa facial and a medical spa facial. The biggest difference is that a medical spa facial will use medical-grade skincare products and include medical-grade treatments like microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion is a deep, medical-grade physical exfoliation that vacuums away dead skin cells from the epidermis, which then helps promote the growth of new and healthy skin cells. It also improves skin tone and texture, helps reduce superficial scars, minimizes blotchy skin and fights off unwanted signs of aging. Microdermabrasion is non-invasive, pain-free, requires zero downtime and is safe and effective for most skin types. You’ll see glowing and younger looking skin instantly after one treatment, but long-term results are much more likely when the treatment is completed in a series.
One of the first services I received at SkinSpirt was the Signature Facial from Cheryl. My time in Cheryl’s treatment room was spent tucked in her cozy table as I received a consultation that determined the road map for the rest of my treatment, a double cleanse, microdermabrasion all over my face and décolleté, a warm enzyme exfoliant and mask and a light arm, head and neck massage. My treatment ended with the application of finishing products, including a moisturizing sunscreen.
Cheryl certainly has the magic touch. She left me in a facial-drunk daze! My facial was completely relaxing and my skin looked radiant immediately after my service. I couldn’t believe how soft my skin felt, even after two days of receiving the facial. Even for someone like me who exfoliates my skin on a regular basis at home, microdermabrasion made such a huge difference in the tone and texture of my skin.
All of the facials offered at SkinSpirit are designed by Dr. Vistnes to address all different skin types and conditions. I love that every facial is customized for each client’s skin because when it comes to facials, one size does not fit all. Everybody’s skin is different with unique skin conditions. At SkinSpirit, your current skin type and condition will dictate the type of facial treatment you’ll receive and the products that will be used during the service.
