What is PRP Skin Rejuvenation?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains growth factors, stem cells and platelets known to aid in healing skin and producing new skin cells. Combining PRP with other resurfacing treatments can be a way to enhance results.
How it works:
At SkinSpirit, we administer PRP through the Aquagold Microchannel device. The Aquagold device creates the micro-channels in the skin while injecting it with Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP Skin rejuvenation treatments allow your body’s natural growth factors and stem cells to repair the micro-injuries created and heal the skin, providing natural results without a major risk for side effects.
Your expert medical provider at SkinSpirit will:
- Draw your blood through a special collection tube and place it in a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins the blood separating the different components within the blood, which allows us to extract out the PRP.
- Using an Aquagold device, we can inject PRP into areas of the face including face, neck and décolletage.
PRP Skin Rejuvenation enhances skin tone and texture.
Most people can return to their normal, daily activities immediately after their treatment. The total healing time depends on the emphasis of the treatment. On average, the skin might be pink one to three days after the treatment. Visible changes in the skin develop several weeks after the treatment. Results continue to improve up to six months after original treatment as collagen production continues over time.
