The following occurrences are common after a neurotoxin treatment:
- Bruising, soreness in and around injection area and swelling and redness to the injection area
- Minor asymmetry of muscle movement is normal for the first 7-10 days after treatment.
During the first four hours after your treatment: Please refrain from rubbing, massaging or applying pressure to the injection sites. Refrain from facials, massages or heavy exercise, particularly any exercise that involves inversions, i.e. Yoga.
It may take 10-14 days for the Botox to take effect. If you are experiencing movement in the area during that time and are concerned about it, we will probably ask you to wait the full 2 weeks before additional units are added.
If there is still movement to the treated area 2 weeks after injection, please call our office for a follow up.
Touch ups for additional units of Botox and/or Dysport are available at an additional cost.
