Pre Treatment Instructions for Medical Micro-Penning

Prior to Your Appointment:

Stop Retin A, retinols, or any products that are irritating 5 days before

Purchase NeuroMed7®  topical anesthetic (4% Lidocaine) at SkinSpirit

Day of Appointment:

If dispensed in packet, use contents of all packet/s dispensed (dispensed two packets at a time)

If dispensed in 2.2 oz tube, apply a large dollar coin sized amount to face.

For your safety follow these instructions exactly as directed.

How to Use This Medicine:

  • Apply product 20-30 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment time
  • With a gloved hand apply evenly and massage vigorously in a circular motion (at least 45-90 seconds)

** When possible apply to clean skin. Immediately after application, be sure to thoroughly wash hands to prevent the cream from coming in contact with the eyes or absorbing into unaffected areas. Do not use on or around open sores or broken skin.

Do not use if pregnant.

Cautions: Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes or on the inside of your nose and mouth. If you get this medicine in your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water immediately. This medicine blocks pain and feeling in the skin. Be careful not to injure the treated skin by scratching, rubbing or coming in contact with extreme cold or heat. Do not use this medication if you are hypersensitive to lidocaine or any other anesthetic. Do not use any more than instructed. Overuse of this product, like any medicine, can cause problems.

Side Effects: This product may cause local irritation to the site of administration after it is applied. You may also experience a feeling of warmth or coolness. This is considered normal and does not indicate an allergic reaction. Side effects that may go away during treatment include skin paleness, loss of feeling, itching, redness, or swelling at the treated site.

Call SkinSpirit immediately if you notice any dizziness, rapid heart rate, lightheadedness, or nausea.

Storage: Store at room temperature in a dark area, protecting it from excess light. This medication expires six (6) months from date of dispensing.

After your treatment your esthetician will instruct you regarding post-treatment care.
