Alissa Pace
ANP-BC

SKINSPIRIT - CHARLOTTE

Alissa Pace, ANP-BC is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in aesthetics. She received a full academic scholarship as the CC Cameron scholar at UNCC for her undergraduate studies in nursing. She graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University with her master' degree in 2007 and began practicing as a nurse practitioner at a neurosurgical practice in North Carolina. Shortly after, she gravitated to aesthetics and has been injecting in Charlotte for over a decade.

Alissa is committed to providing her clients with the latest advancements in the regenerative field. Her research in aesthetic regenerative medicine has been published in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery journal, and she holds a patent for the injection technique she developed as a result.

Alissa loves the artistry involved in injectables, aiming to have the attention to detail, for the individuality of each client and their aesthetic goals. She strives to continue researching and educating to offer her clients the newest technology.

When not injecting at Skin Spirit, Alissa enjoys time with her husband, baby boy and 2 dogs. She is a rollercoaster enthusiast and performs a tribute to Shania Twain.

Alissa Pace, ANP-BC: Alissa brings over a decade of aesthetic injecting experience, published research and a patented technique to SkinSpirit Charlotte. The Vanderbilt grad loves the artistry of injectables and delivering the latest advancements for individualized results.

Sarah Balladares
PA-C

Sarah Balladares is a board-certified Physician Assistant who earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She is known for her balanced, full-face approach—focusing on harmony and optimization to deliver natural-looking, refined results tailored to each patient.

Her favorite treatment is neurotoxin, which she values for its simplicity and ability to subtly brighten and refresh the face with minimal effort.

A must-have in her skincare routine is the AOX Brightening Serum from ZO Skin Health, which she loves for its ability to support a radiant, even complexion.

Sarah often says she “gets” to do this work—because it’s an honor to help patients feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys playing tennis, and a fun fact about her is that she was married in Italy.

Shannon Augustine
NP

SKINSPIRIT - CHARLOTTE

Shannon Augustine is a board certified nurse practitioner who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Catholic University of America and her Master of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University. With almost 10 years of experience in the medical field, Shannon is passionate about establishing relationships with her patients and making them feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. Shannon' approach as a practitioner is to listen to her patients and have honest communication with them. She believes in establishing a plan with her patients from the beginning, rather than treating them for one reason per visit, to help them achieve the most natural and best results.

Outside of work, Shannon' hobbies include cooking, traveling, hiking national parks, and hanging out in her backyard with her husband and yellow lab named Moose.

Shannon Augustine, NP: Shannon uses her nearly 10 years of medical experience to build relationships and create comprehensive, natural treatment plans. The Georgetown grad emphasizes honest communication to help patients feel confident and beautiful.

Shelia Anderson
RN, MSN, CANS
Shelia Anderson
RN, MSN, CANS

Shelia Anderson, a native of North Carolina, began her aesthetic career in Seattle, WA. With a background in critical care nursing, there is always the search for cause and effect, analysis of the situation and a constant thirst for knowledge. Working with plastic surgeons enabled Shelia to understand facial anatomy and the aging process to which she is able to apply her aesthetic talents. Her work with dermatologists is key to her understanding of skin, lasers and energy devices.

In 1996, when Shelia transitioned from critical care to the plastic surgery arena, there was no formal education or programs for transition into the aesthetic market. By the year 2002, after the approval of Botox for cosmetic use and the first FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler, Shelia began to train colleagues who were interested in aesthetics.

Shelia is a licensed registered nurse (RN) in her residential state of Washington, but is also licensed in North Carolina, Colorado, California, Hawaii and Nevada. She was one of the first nurses in the US to complete the Certification for Aesthetic Nursing Specialist (CANS) exam by the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board (PSNCB).

Shelia is passionate about education for herself and others. She is one of the original trainers for Allergan and currently serves as a trainer for the Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) in addition to providing private training through her company Elite Medical Aesthetic Training. Shelia currently works as a full time medical provider for the Washington locations of SkinSpirit.

Shelia Anderson, RN, MSN, CANS: Shelia is a nationally recognized trainer (Allergan/AMI) and CANS-certified nurse, bringing decades of aesthetic experience to our Charlotte (NC), Redmond, Bellevue and University Village (WA) locations. She applies extensive knowledge of anatomy and aging, which she has gained since 1996, to achieve excellent results.
