Smooth away wrinkles and fine lines in the face
What Is A Cosmelan Treatment?
Cosmelan is a one-of-a-kind solution for hyperpigmentation and melasma in that it incorporates the tried and true Hydroquinone, as well as over 50 other active ingredients that help mitigate the melanocyte overproduction. As a result, and with no heat required, it’s effective at treating even the most stubborn pigmentation concerns, including melasma, and is suitable for all skin types.
How It Works
When you visit us for your Cosmelan treatment, your provider will apply a leave-on mask containing a unique mix of proprietary ingredients designed to address the complex, multi-step melanin production process. You’ll leave the clinic with the peel still on, and we’ll provide you specific instructions for when and how to remove it once you get home.
Following your in-clinic treatment, we will provide you with a home care kit containing some products you will need for the following seven months. The one product you will need to repurchase is the “Cosmelan 2 Cream,” which will last around 12 weeks. Some will use more cream and need about 2-4 replenishments, while others will only need one other tub to get through the whole seven months.
We will have you book a follow up appointment 8-12 weeks after your in-clinic treatment, so your provider monitor your results, and we’ll send you home with your replenishment cream (cost is $340). We do not have you replenish the other Cosmelan products in the home care kit (the recovery balm and the SPF) but can make recommendations for those items as needed.
The SkinSpirit Experience
When you visit SkinSpirit for a Cosmelan treatment, we’ll get you started with a consultation to make sure you’re a great candidate. If you’ve had melasma, or other pigment concerns that aren’t treatable through lasers, or if you’ve used hydroquinone with no results, this may be a great service for you. Please give us a call at (855) 383-7546 so that we can set you up with one of our experts in California, Washington, Texas or Utah.
From there, your aesthetician will apply a leave-on mask, and supply you with all the instructions you need once you get home. Your in-clinic treatment will consist of a quick, 30-minute visit, but you’ll leave the clinic with what looks like a mud mask on your face so we recommend you head straight home! This mask will stay on for 8-12 hours (it’s worth it!) and you will remove it at home as instructed. We’ll also provide you with a home care regimen containing special active creams that will continue working for you for the next seven month, so that your skin will look its clearest yet.
Because Cosmelan addresses melasma from several angles, more people will see success, and longer lasting, better correction. Improvement will come gradually over time, with pigmentation fading and skin becoming brighter throughout the seven month home care regimen.
