PRE TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR MICROPENNING

Prior to your appointment:

  1. Stop Retin A, retinols, or any irritating products 5 days before your appointment.
  2. Please inform your practitioner if you have a history of cold sores. They can prescribe an antiviral medication to suppress the virus to help prevent a cold sore breakout as a result of the irritation from treatment.
  3. We recommend purchasing Skinceuticals B5Hydrating Gel, Jan Marini Skin Zyme mask for use after you treatment.
  4. Your practitioner may provide you with a topical anesthetic to apply at home 45-60 min prior to your micro pen treatment.
  5. You may also have your practitioner apply the topical anesthetic if you prefer. A prep will need to be scheduled before your treatment. Please be prepared to wait in the waiting room with your topical anesthetic on while it is absorbing. Unfortunately, we do not have any spare treatment rooms for this purpose.
