About Emily Petruszak

Emily is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for aesthetic medicine and helping patients feel confident in their skin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Concordia University Irvine in 2018 before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Rochester in 2019. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Family Health as a Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rochester in 2024. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Emily’s nursing career began in trauma and cardiac/vascular critical care, where she cared for patients during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. While she valued the opportunity to make a difference during those moments, she found myself drawn to a different kind of impact—helping people feel confident, empowered, and genuinely happy in their own skin.

Her background in critical care has given her a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and particularly vascular anatomy, which she brings into her approach to aesthetic treatments. She has also received specialized training through the Allergan Medical Institute in both Botox and dermal fillers and with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and TMJ/myofacial pain.

Neuromodulators—including Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify, etc. are her favorite treatments because of their versatility and their ability to address both visible signs of aging and the development of dynamic lines over time. By temporarily relaxing targeted muscles responsible for repetitive facial movement, neuromodulators can soften fine lines and wrinkles while helping prevent them from becoming more deeply etched into the skin. They can also be an excellent complement to regenerative and skin-quality treatments by addressing the muscle component of aging while other treatments focus on collagen, elastin, hydration, and overall skin health.

Her favorite skincare product is SkinMedica TNS Advanced+ Serum, a growth-factor-based formulation designed to support the skin’s natural repair and renewal processes. Growth factors are naturally occurring signaling proteins involved in cellular communication, including processes related to collagen and elastin production. With consistent use, TNS Advanced+ can help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, skin tone, texture, firmness, and overall radiance. One of the reasons she loves this product is that it can be beneficial at different stages of life. It can also complement in-office aesthetic treatments by supporting the skin’s overall health and recovery.

Outside of the office, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors with her Husky-Pomeranian, whether that means going for a hike, exploring a new trail, or spending the day at the park.
