Pre-Treatment Instructions
- Skin Conditioning: Ensure the skin is properly conditioned with a solid home care routine, which may include:
- Growth factors, peptides, AHAs, BHAs, retinol or enzymes, and pigment inhibitors.
- Use a physical sunblock regularly.
- Avoid Certain Treatments: No chemical peels or aggressive exfoliation treatments within two weeks of the laser facial.
- Discontinue Photosensitizing Products: Stop using photosensitizing topical products unless they are well-tolerated without causing erythema, peeling, or irritation.
- Antiviral Medication: If you have a history of cold sores, take antiviral medication as prescribed by your provider.
- Medication Review: Inform your provider about all medications and allergies.
Post-Treatment Instructions
- Moisturizer and Sunblock: Apply moisturizer and sunscreen (SPF 30+) immediately after treatment.
- Resume Skincare Routine: You may resume your regular skincare routine as tolerated.
- Sun Protection: Strictly adhere to sun protection measures, including regular use of sunscreen.
- Monitor Skin: Watch for any adverse reactions and report them to your provider immediately.
