Courtney Newlin comes from a family of artists, athletes and animal lovers. Her background has shaped her into a down to earth and honest person with a full empathetic heart - and it shows in her approach to medical aesthetics. Courtney is always there for her patients. She also has drive and endurance to continue bettering herself through continued education.
Having received her Masters in Science, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Samuel Merritt University (MSN), Courtney is now pursuing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree (FNP-C). She is also a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS).
Next to injections, microneedling is one of Courtney's favorite "Glow Getter's". Microneedling is a great way to slough away the dead surface of the skin, turn over more collagen and help your favorite medical grade skincare penetrate deeper, all with very minimal down time.

Courtney (Newlin) O'Connor, MSN, FNP-BC, RN, CANS - Courtney is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner at SkinSpirit Walnut Creek known for her down-to-earth, empathetic approach. She loves building relationships with patients, using her attention to detail to help bring their aesthetic visions to life and boost their confidence.
Elaine is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 2 decades of experience in medicine. Elaine received her Bachelor's degree from University of California Berkeley and Master's degree in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University. She graduated in the top 1% of her class and has been recognized for her exceptional academic achievements, including membership in the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing.
Elaine has extensive clinical experience working with diverse patient populations. She has been practicing as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner since 2009 and working with her cancer patients, she saw how looking good helped her patients feel better, and the improved self-esteem gave them courage and confidence. Elaine realized that she could blend her medical expertise with artistry to enhance people's well-being in a different way and decided to pursue advanced training in aesthetic medicine—and the rest is history.
Elaine’s philosophy is to create harmony of the face and restore and enhance natural beauty. She loves to combine multiple treatment modalities to achieve the most natural and effective results. Elaine has advanced training in dermal fillers, biostimulators, neuromodulators, PDO threads/threadlifts microneedling, laser and light therapies, and medical grade skincare. Known for her thoroughness and gentle approach, she collaborates with patients to develop personalized plans for prevention, restoration, and maintenance.
Haley Horner has been an aesthetic Registered Nurse since 2015 and Nurse Practitioner since 2020. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chico State and subsequently obtained her Master of Science in Nursing, and Nurse Practitioner license, from Holy Names University. She places significant importance on continued scientific innovation within the aesthetics field and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Haley is a perfectionist by nature. She has a meticulous eye for detail that can't be taught and prides herself on delivering a signature artistry of subtlety and beauty. She is known for producing both natural and unparalleled results that fit the individual need of her devoted clients. She values taking the time to provide honest and detailed instruction on how she can best achieve these outcomes, while ensuring her clients feel understood and listened to.
Haley's decision to pursue this life-long passion began when she shadowed and assisted her mom, a fellow aesthetic injector. As young as her pre-teen years, Haley knew she wanted to become an expert and worked tirelessly to make this a reality. As a second-generation aesthetic nurse, with over 10 years of experience, she is still driven to advance her skills. Ongoing education is very important to her. She has attended hundreds of hours of extracurricular training. This allows her to continue adding new techniques and facial assessment tools to her repertoire and keeps her up to date with cutting edge developments.
"I feel very fortunate to genuinely love what I do! I leave work and oftentimes hop on Instagram to keep learning something new from others in my field. Outside of work, Haley has taken facial sculpting classes that provided her with a unique insight into enhancing beauty and addressing age related changes for all. Haley also loves spending time with her husband, two cats as well as family and friends. She's a people person at the end of the day! Her interests also include: reading, live music, meditation, spending time outdoors and improving her Spanish.

Jeff is CNOR certified and a Certified Trainer and Laser Educator for Candela/Syneron. He comes to SkinSpirit with over 24 years of aesthetic experience, as well as experience as a Mobile Intensive Care Nurse. For the past decade, he has also been sought after as a laser trainer.
Jeff's favorite treatment is no surprise: laser resurfacing. He says regarding laser treatments, "not only is the cosmetic element improved, but we can reduce skin cancer risks as well." Whatever the modality or treatment, Jeff is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients.

Karen is a Registered Nurse with over 22 years of experience in the medical field. She has been an aesthetic practitioner for 9 years and her experience also includes Women's Health, Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Care.
Karen's heart is in aesthetics because she has a passion for helping people feel the most confident in their own skin. She strongly believes that feeling like the best version of yourself is powerful and improves confidence.
Karen has a variety of favorite treatments as she knows her patients don't age one-dimensionally, and it's important to be able to provide a multi-modality approach to address the different layers of the face as they mature. She believes in both preventative and restorative treatments.

Karen Alumno, RN, BSN - Karen combines her comprehensive nursing knowledge with 9+ years of aesthetic practice to help clients feel like the best version of themselves. She believes in both preventative and restorative care, utilizing a variety of treatments with an artistic eye to address aging comprehensively and boost confidence.
After completing her Bachelors of Nursing from California State University, Sacramento, Renae Spera practiced medical surgical nursing for close to four years at a Sutter Hospital in California.
Renae decided to move to Australia where she began pursuing a career in aesthetics. She learned about Botox, Fillers and other non-invasive anti-aging treatments while working for a plastic surgeon. She launched a medical clinic with a plastic surgeon while she was in Australia as well. She grew her knowledge of injectable and non-surgical anti-aging treatments over the five years she was in Australia. She also learned how to run a successful small business.
Working in medical aesthetics in Australia, Renae was exposed to products not yet available in the United States. She loves achieving a true facial shape through combination treatment of dermal fillers in the temples, jawline, chin and cheek and applying Botox in the masseter muscles of the face. When she assesses a client, she likes working from the perimeter of the face inward.
Renae takes a holistic approach both her medical practice and her life. She likes to improve her health through exercise and balancing her mind, body and soul. She enjoys experiencing new cultures and traveling, or relaxing with a movie and glass of wine in her spare time.

Shelly attended San Jose State School of Nursing where she received her BSN. Before beginning her career in aesthetics, she specialized in Labor & Delivery for 6 years.
